Bruce
Smoller, MD
Bruce Smoller is currently the Vice Chair in the department of Pathology
and a professor in both pathology and dermatology at the University
of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He came to Little Rock after spending
appoximately eight years as the Director of Dermatopathology at Stanford
University in California. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief
of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. Dr. Smoller is especially interested
in cutaneous lymphoid infiltrates and has written many papers on the
histologic features of mycosis fungoides. He is the author of several
books, including "Cutaneous Manifestations of Systemic Disease" and
"A Practical Guide to Use of Immunopathology in Diagnostic Dermatopathology".
Christian Sander, MD
Dr. Sander studied medicine in Freiburg, Germany and Sydney, Australia.
In 1987, after medical school he began a residency in Pathology at the
Department of Pathology of the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany.
From December 1990 until January 1993 he spent more than two years as
a guest researcher at the Hematopathology Section of the Laboratory
of Pathology, NCI, NIH, Bethesda, Maryland. In February 1993, he started
a residency in Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University
in Munich, Germany. Since 1998 he is head of the Dermatopathology Section
and of the Laboratory of Molecular Dermatopathology. His main interests
are cutaneous lymphomas.
